Additional Agile Methods

This chapter provides a discussion of additional agile methods that were not covered in Chapter 3. In order to make a determination as to which methods are actually agile, the first fact is that agile methods are adaptive. On the other side of the coin are those methods that are predictive. The differences between these two types of methods determine when to describe a process as agile. All agile methods are adaptive. This means that the method is flexible and allows for changes. Predictive methods, on the other hand, are centered on planning and are concerned with addressing the most serious changes that need to be approved through a configuration control board (CCB).
