Navigating Ethical Challenges in Real-World AI

Ever since the first applications of artificial intelligence (AI), the debate about its ethical implications has been evolving. Today, with the advent of AI agents that grow more powerful and autonomous, the ethical challenges they pose are even more complex.

In this chapter, we will explore the landscape of ethical challenges in real-world AI. Although we will focus on the ethical debate from a broader perspective – encompassing the AI field in its entirety, not limited to GenAI and agentic AI – we will nonetheless elaborate on the unique challenges that AI agents pose.
