In Chapter 1, Understanding AI Agents on AWS, we introduced you to Model Context Protocol (MCP) which helps standardizing the agent communication with external systems and A2A (Agent to Agent) Protocol which enables agents to interact with other agents. In earlier chapters, you learned how to build agents, connect them to tools, and design multi-agent systems. The next logical step is communication: how agents interact reliably with external tools, data sources, and other agents in a structured and reusable way.
