Now that you have taken the steps to prepare an AI operations (AIOps) deployment in your organization, selected a product, and conducted a proof of concept, you need to begin the planning phase of deployment. Once it's deployed, you can customize, build, develop, and automate workflows and other logic to bring value to your platform. As you strategize and deploy AI operations into your healthcare setting, the main focus will be doing so correctly, and that requires an understanding of what the project will look like and what project planning fundamentals are required.

This chapter discusses the requirements of building a project plan that you can use to deploy AIOps in your organization. In Chapter 3, I covered some of the basics of planning, but focused more on product selection and understanding the scope. In this chapter, we expand on the scope to help design the project plan, requirements, tasks needed to complete the work, resource assumption, and deployment phases all the way through installation and deployment of agents and ingesting data.

In the following sections, I will explore the requirements for deploying AIOps in your organization. All good deployments come from great planning and coordination.
