Preliminary Systems Design Trade Analysis

In this chapter, an air and missile defense (AMD) system preliminary design is evaluated against the requirements using methods described in the previous chapters and McEachron [1]. Figure 7.1 shows a graphical depiction of how the AMD battlespace unfolds from first detection to intercept assuming three interceptor variants having three different minimum ranges.
