It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
11Maturity of the Field and Open Challenges
Going through the seven waves of research and engineering on self‐adaptive systems, which span a period of more than two decades, has been quite a journey. To conclude, we peek into the future of the field and propose a number of research challenges for the next five to ten years. But, before zooming into these challenges, we first analyze how the field has matured over time.
