It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

This book tells you what you need to know to get the most from Aperture 3, Apple’s Pro advanced photo editing and management application. If you’re reading this, it’s fair to assume you either already own Aperture 3 or are thinking about buying it.
If the latter is the case and you’re serious about your photography, you really do need software to help you organize, edit and archive your digital images. In our view, Aperture 3 provides by far and away the best means of doing that. Other than to say that, we’re not here to persuade you.
