I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
If there are several tracks in the Timeline, Add Edit will cut
through all existing tracks. To disable Add Edit for individual tracks, lock
the track or toggle off the Auto Select control for those tracks you don’t
want to affect.
To use a Razor Blade tool:
An alternative method of adding an edit, or dividing a clip, is to approach the
situation like a good film cutter would: with a razor blade cutting through
film. There is a Razor Blade tool for cutting through all the unlocked tracks in
one clip and one for cutting through all the unlocked tracks in the sequence.
