4:3 The standard display aspect ratio of a traditional television set. See aspect ratio.
8-bit For video, a bit depth at which color is sampled. Eight-bit color is common to DV and other standard-definition digital formats. Although some high-definition acquisition formats can record in 8-bit, they usually record in 10-bit resolution. Refers to 8 bits per color channel, making a total of 24 bits in an RGB image and 32 bits in an RGB image with an alpha channel.
