16-bit A standard bit depth for digital audio recording and playback.
16 x 9 The standard display aspect ratio of a high-definition television set.
24-bit A video image with three channels—red, green, and blue—each with 8-bit resolution.
32-bit A four-channel image with each channel 8 bits deep. Typically, a CGI image includes a red, green, blue, and alpha channel.
4 x 3 The standard display aspect ratio of a standard-definition video.
4:2:2 A digital compression scheme. For every four samples of luminance, two samples are taken for each of the color difference signals.
4:4:4 A digital compression scheme. For every four samples of luminance, four samples are taken for each of the color difference signals.
