Too often we confuse learning with the memorization and recall of facts and figures, instead of the mastery of how something is done and how to do it for ourselves. It’s a concept succinctly captured in the old Chinese proverb “Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish and he will eat for a lifetime.”
