Rebuilding Reality Composer Object Capture Materials

Before we say goodbye to this chapter, there’s one additional topic I’d like to touch on briefly. I’ve talked about creating new 3D models with Object Capture and building geometry shaders that modify objects, but, as luck would have it, these two features of Apple’s development tools are incompatible with one another.

For example, if I try to apply the Pulse_Modifier shader that we just built to the Creepy Head model that I captured on my iPhone, the result, shown in FIGURE C.1 is less than ideal. The nice texture and coloring of the object is gone, and I’m left with a single-colored object.
