Installing Additional Components
The next step is to use the WebPI on the server to obtain and install additional software components. You need only two components:
- .NET Framework version 4
- Web Deployment Tool 2.0
Using the Web Deployment Tool is only one of the ways for deploying an MVC application, but you'll need this component if you want to follow the deployment demonstrations in Chapter 33.
Note If you have not yet installed a database on your server, you can select the option to include SQL Server Express 2008 R2 here. If you install SQL Server Express, you'll be prompted to select an authentication mode. Choose Mixed Mode Authentication, ...
