B.1 The Ideal Op-Amp
Our discussion of the op-amp in this section will be limited to the ideal case. We will not be concerned with the construction of this component. A block diagram will be used to represent the op-amp with the associated circuitry external to it. The various electrical parameters of the op-amp will also be defined. We will consider only the inverting and non-inverting configurations using simple resistors.
