Editing Tabular Data

In Chapters 4 and 5, you learned how to edit and create spatial features including points, lines, and polygons. Spatial data is only one half of the GIS puzzle. Each layer you see in GIS has two components, spatial and tabular. The tabular component contains additional information about features you see in the map or scene. This might include information such as the feature’s size, when it was created, coordinate values, and more. Of course, tabular data used in a GIS is not limited to just information directly related to features you see. It can also include standalone tables as well.
