Chapter 8. Interaction
After understanding AR input, which is dominated by computer vision techniques, and AR output, which is dominated by computer graphics techniques, we turn our attention to human–computer interaction, the link between input and output. We first revisit input and output modalities, albeit now from a designer’s perspective rather than from an engineer’s perspective. We then discuss tangible user interfaces and several other user interface concepts relevant to AR, such as interfaces involving paper, haptics, and agents.
