So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Developing Drawing Strategies: Part 1
Assuming that you have worked your way through the first three chapters, you have now successfully drawn a shape (Chapter 2, “Learning Basic Commands to Get Started”) as well as the outer wall lines of a cabin (Chapter 3, “Setting Up a Drawing”). From here on, you'll develop a floor plan for the cabin.
The focus in this chapter is on gaining a feel for the strategy of drawing in the Autodesk® AutoCAD® program and on solving drawing problems that come up in the course of laying out a floor plan. As you work your way through this chapter, the activities will include making the walls, cutting doorway openings, and drawing the doors.
