The three appendixes in Part VIII provide important additional information. Although these appendixes are especially useful when you first start to use AutoCAD 2011 or AutoCAD LT 2011, they offer a great deal of information for ongoing use as well.

Appendix A runs you through the process of installing and configuring AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT to suit your personal needs. Many new features appear in the Options dialog box that I cover here. I also explain the importance of workspaces here.
