So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Automated testing involves a mini-development life cycle.
An effective test program that incorporates the automation of software testing has a development life cycle of its own. This development effort comes complete with its own strategy and goal planning, test requirement definition, analysis, design, and coding.
