I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Nico Hambauer is a PhD candidate at the University of Regensburg, Germany, part of a government-funded research group on White-Box AI. His work focuses on benchmarking and designing novel, explainable machine learning models. He studies explainable approaches such as generalized additive models or cluster-then-predict methods. The presumption that models that are inherently explainable must sacrifice predictive performance is challenged and remedied by his work. His applications target high-stakes domains such as healthcare, customer analytics, and industrial business contexts.
