This appendix covers setting up Azure resources to form the Jonestown Sluggers analytics system featured in the book. It uses Azure PowerShell to create and configure the services. PowerShell is a powerful tool, and the examples in this book only scratch the surface of what’s possible. This appendix provides some enhancement to similar scripts found elsewhere in the book, but these enhancements are to support script reuse by multiple readers. Learn Windows PowerShell in a Month of Lunches, 3rd ed. (Manning, 2016) by Don Jones and Jeffrey Hicks provides a much deeper view of the technology.
