In Chapter 2, “The WebLogic Workshop,” you ran the HelloWorld service included as part of the WebLogic Workshop install. In this chapter you will go through the process of creating HelloWorld from scratch by yourself. The goal is to learn how to write the most basic application using the tools Workshop gives you. If you are not familiar with the Java programming language, it might be a good idea to first read Appendix A, “Java Essentials,” and then to refer to it as you read the book.
