IN THIS CHAPTER
A typical business application has three main parts—presentation, business logic, and data. The presentation portion can be a Web page, or a GUI application, or even a printed document—it is some kind of representation of information from the application. An application can have more than one kind of presentation. For example, an airline reservation system might have a Web interface, a custom GUI application running on a PC, and a text-based interface on a green-screen terminal. You could also consider the printing of tickets and boarding passes to be part of the presentation as well.
