Constructing an if statement

So, now we'll enter the following between the curly braces in the Default.aspx.cs stub:

if (CheckBox1.Checked)

We saw previously that checked means either true or false. That is why we can use it with an if statement, as you see in the preceding line of code. If you hover your mouse over if, as shown in the following screenshot, it says bool, which is short for Boolean. In other words, this is a true or false kind of quantity, which means that you can use it with an if statement to make a decision:
