In the chapters so far, we’ve used Microsoft Excel as a data source. The benefit of Excel is that it’s simple to use and understand. However, PowerApps supports many other data sources and in this chapter, we’ll explore these in greater detail. The first section of this chapter focuses on the Common Data Service (CDS), a data store that works hand in hand with PowerApps. We’ll also discover one the most outstanding features of PowerApps - the On-Premises Data Gateway.
