Chapter 13. The File Transfer Profile
Introduction
In this, the second of our Object Exchange (OBEX) profiles, we consider the features and procedures that are required to realise a compliant File Transfer Profile. This profile allows users to create ad-hoc connections between Bluetooth-enabled devices that support the File Transfer Profile; what is achieved here with this profile is simplicity. With supported devices, users can exchange data files and manipulate their directory structure. In Figure 13-1 and Figure 13-2, we illustrate the type of devices that may support the File Transfer Profile.
