Chapter 9. Implementing a DS Platform
In Chapter 1, “Introduction to Distributed Platforms,” we introduced the concept of a distributed services platform. Figure 1-1 (reproduced here as Figure 9-1) depicts a high-level view of the components required to implement a distributed services platform. Key components are the distributed services nodes (DSNs) placed in servers, switches, and appliances that need to be managed by a policy manager.
