6. Preparing to Post
Building a good blog post is all about having good content. WordPress won’t make you a good blogger, but if you know how to format your post, you can at least appear to know what you’re doing. (I’ve been coasting along using this strategy for most of my life.) In this chapter, I show you how to set up a WordPress post like a pro, but I leave the actual content up to you.
WordPress tries to get out of your way so as to make writing posts easy. The Write tab is the first link in the navigation bar at the top of every WordPress admin page (right below your blog’s title). When you click the Write tab (Figure 6.1 on the next page), WordPress displays the Post panel.
