In this appendix, we will cover how to set up a user and create credentials for the user. We will also cover how to set up the AWS Command Line Interface (CLI), Docker, and Git, which are all needed for the development.

In this chapter, we will cover the following setups and installations:

Creating an Identity and Access Management (IAM) Console user
Creating a user for Terraform authentication
AWS CLI installation
Creating a Simple Notification Service (SNS) topic
Git installation
Docker Desktop installation

To follow the instructions in this book, you must have a user account that has appropriate access to perform the tasks required. We will go through the process to create the required user account.
