Kafka Stream - lightweight Stream processing library
Kafka Stream is a lightweight Stream processing library that is tightly coupled with Kafka. It does not require any cluster setup or any other operational cost. We will discuss the features that any Stream processing application should persist and how Kafka Stream provides those features.
Before starting this chapter, we recommend you go through the concept of Apache Kafka. You should know about the producer, consumer, topic, parallelism, broker, and other concepts of Apache Kafka to better understand Kafka Stream.
