6. Building a Quadcopter II: Motors and Props

Next up in our project to build a quadcopter (Figure 6.1), you’ll tackle motors and propellers. I’ll guide you through choosing both, then I’ll add my choices to the drone we are building. In Chapter 4, “Building a Quadcopter I: Choosing an Airframe,” I showed how to build the airframe out of MakerBeam. With the addition of motors, props, and the mounting hardware for both, we’ll be well on our way to getting airborne.
