Appendix H. The C9X Committee
The C9X committee is preparing a revised standard for C. The changes from the C90 to the C9X standard are much fewer than the changes from K&R C to the ANSI C90 standard. The two main thrusts are to make the language more international and to fix a few deficiencies in the language. This appendix discusses many of the C9X changes. Keep in mind that at the time of writing, the committee is still working on the new standard and that some of the proposals presented here could very well change before the final standard emerges. This appendix is just a snapshot of the current state of revisions to the C standard.
