This table summarizes the first 127 standard ASCII codes. It does not cover extended ASCII codes (above 127 in value) or the wide (16-bit) character set. In this table, a two- or three-digit number specifies a numeric value; the box immediately to its right shows the corresponding character.
Some of these characters are special (unprintable) characters. They include:
NUL—null value
ACK—acknowledgement signal (used by network communications)
BEL—bell
BS—backspace
LF—linefeed
FF—form feed (new page)
CR—carriage return
NAK—no acknowledgement
DEL—delete
