About the Author

A graduate of Brown University and the University of Wisconsin Law School, Mark Ryan has been teaching math since 1989. He runs The Math Center in Winnetka, Illinois (www.themathcenter.com), a one-man math teaching and tutoring business; he helps students with all junior high and high school math courses, including calculus and statistics as well as ACT, PSAT, and SAT preparation. In high school, Ryan twice scored a perfect 800 on the math portion of the SAT, and he not only knows mathematics, he also has a gift for explaining it in plain English. He practiced law for four years before deciding he should do something he enjoys and use his natural talent for mathematics.

Calculus All-in-One For Dummies is Mark Ryan’s twelfth book. His first book, Everyday Math for Everyday Life (Grand Central Publishing), was published in 2002. For Wiley, Calculus For Dummies, 1st Edition, was published in 2003; Calculus Workbook For Dummies, 1st Edition, in 2005; Geometry Workbook For Dummies in 2007; Geometry For Dummies, 2nd Edition, in 2008; Calculus Essentials For Dummies in 2010; Geometry Essentials For Dummies in 2011; Calculus For Dummies, 2nd Edition, in 2014; Calculus Workbook For Dummies, 2nd Edition, in 2015; Geometry For Dummies, 3rd Edition, in 2016; and Calculus Workbook For Dummies, 3rd Edition, in 2018.
