It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

In the very early years of the Twentieth Century, Kodak introduced their Brownie line of cameras. Their slogan was, “You push the button, we do the rest.” No worrying about settings for optimum ISO, aperture, shutter speed, focus, depth of field, white balance, etc.; simply compose the picture and press the shutter-release button.
