I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Back in 2007, I was sitting in an airport lounge with my buddy Scott Kelby waiting for our connecting. I was checking my emails when I came across an interesting message from an agent who was asking if I would be interested in writing a book about iPhoto for a popular how-to series of books. I’d never given book writing any consideration, but had read an article that I had written on my blog about using iPhoto and thought I might like to expand it into a book. I showed the email to Scott, and he said that if I was interested in writing books, he’d have his editor get in touch with me.
