This chapter covers the following topics and corresponding proficiencies:
Information assurance: Describe the principles of securing information assets and information systems.
Confidentiality, integrity, and availability: Describe the differences between the concepts of confidentiality, integrity, and availability, also known as the CIA triad, and the importance of each as a measure of information assurance.
Privacy: Describe the concept of protecting sensitive information and understand the difference between privacy and confidentiality.
ISC2 Code of Ethics: Understand the code of ethics to which those who attain the Certified in Cybersecurity certification are expected to adhere.
