The Dynamics of Change

Having a broad, aerial view for the change process is just the first step. You need perspective on the challenge of moving each employee through the different phases of change acceptance, which we will refer to as the Adaptation/Acceptance Spectrum (consult the sidebar by that title). Keep in mind this phrase: “Change is a process, not an event.” Change takes time and typically occurs in overlapping increments—plus, it does not occur as a result of a single effort.
