Mapping Networks with NodeXL

A Quick Guide to Using NodeXL

Here is a step-by-step guide to doing your own analysis using free software.

  1. Download NodeXL, which is an open source Excel-based add-on for basic network analysis. From the main website (http://nodexl.codeplex.com/), go to “Downloads” and download the latest version to your desktop and install it. The installation creates a shortcut to an Excel template with the set of macros necessary to set up a data sheet and run analyses.
