It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

2.8.7 End of day statistics
End of day statistics are a special case of interval statistics where all statistics
counters are collected and reset. Unlike interval statistics, you get a copy of end
of day statistics when CICS terminates or by the time that you specify. End of day
statics are used for the accounting and performance procedures that CICS
system programmers periodically run. Interval statistics are used to investigate
specific performance problems.
