The configuration section is separated into two parts, the basic settings are enough to get you to the stage of being able to remotely attach to a virtual desktop, the advanced settings covers configuration that may or may not be necessary depending on your environment.
Some of the advanced configuration settings have dependencies on the interaction with the hypervisor. Consequently, I have structured this such that we perform the basic configuration settings first, and then install a virtual instance on the hypervisor of choice, then subsequently address some of the more advanced settings.
