Developing Clarity Through Mindfulness Meditation
Mindfulness means paying attention purposefully, in the present moment, and nonjudgmentally.1 Its gift lies in allowing its practitioners to operate with focus, clarity, and full awareness of what they are experiencing, whether good or bad, desired or not. Adopting a mindfulness meditation practice allows you to develop a clear mind and the wisdom needed to be a trusted and successful leader. This Appendix includes instructions for two types of sitting meditation practices and one type of walking meditation.2
