In this chapter, you learn the nature of COM+ security. Most serious multiuser applications have some security considerations, if not a bevy of them. For this reason, COM+ provides powerful but simple security features enabling system users and groups to be mapped into COM+-centric application roles. Many of the COM+ security features are available to the administrator and the programmer alike. As past experience would predict, COM+ makes security programming, usually a black art, relatively easy.
