INTERACTIVE VIDEO GAME TECHNOLOGIES

The terms “video game” and “computer game” are often used interchangeably, although their markets vary moderately. To use one or the other, there are some common components. Both have a display module consisting of a television, monitor, or liquid crystal display (LCD). The internal system configuration, detailed extensively throughout this chapter, is a necessary component, as is a user control interface that includes a controller, joystick, keyboard, or mouse, or more recently, voice recognition.
