Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability Concerns

The balanced protection of the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data is often referred to as the CIA triad (see Figure 28-1). Just as all three sides of the triangle are balanced, the elements of the triad are designed to be balanced against the need for productivity.
