AAA A framework for authentication, authorization, and accounting. All three of these are extremely important as wireless security settings.
acceptable use policy (AUP) An organization’s policy that provides specific detail about what users may do with their network access, including email and instant messaging usage for personal purposes, limitations on access times, and the storage space available to each user.
access badge A physical card with embedded technology, such as RFID (radio frequency identification) or smart chips, that allows them to communicate with access control systems for authentication and authorization purposes.
