9 Useful resources

Introduction

Summarizing the exposition in previous chapters, here we complement the discussion on computational bioacoustic tasks (cf. Chapter 3), methods, and applications with links and notes to some useful resources that were contributed by the bioacoustic research community.128 Specifically, among these are

1. numerous audio collections of animal sounds (Section 9.1);

2. various publicly available software tools and services (Section 9.2);

3. online community support through mailing lists, online Q&A archives, and FAQs (Section 9.3); and

4. scientific conferences and workshops, training courses, and information campaigns oriented towards the general public (Section 9.4).
