Abstract
Agriculture is the dominant sector of the economy in at least nine countries of the world. Farming provides fuel for billions of populations, as well as job opportunities to plenty of people. Traditionally, no automated approach is equipped. Hence, farmers have to do all the work manually. So, automated techniques are required to enhance the farming process. Employing artificial intelligence in the field of agriculture commonly known as agriculture intelligence is a surging form of technological revolution. In this chapter, we are throwing light on to the applications of cognitive intelligence and the distributing computing in smart farming techniques. The various applications for the smart farming like the disease prediction, precision farming and the crop analyzing using cognitive intelligence tools are explained in detail.
