Purpose and Scope
The major objectives of this audit are to:
•  Evaluate the adequacy of and the contractor’s compliance with the estimating system internal controls.
•  Obtain a sufficient understanding of the contractor’s estimating system and related internal control (including both manual and computerized activities) to plan the related audit effort. This requires that the auditor assess the adequacy of the contractor’s policies and procedures, whether they have been implemented, and if they are working and being monitored effectively.
