Chapter 16 Foam Headdresses and Costumes
Foam can be found at any fabric store. It is lightweight, fluffy and voluminous, easy and fast to work with, and effective on stage. I have experimented with foam when making several headdresses and costumes that I designed. Foam is one of my favorite materials for making theatrical costumes and crafts.
MAKING HORSE HEADDRESSES
In Cinderella, the Fairy Godmother magically creates a pumpkin carriage pulled by four horses to take Cinderella to the ball to meet the Prince (Figure 16-1).
